Location

The Casale Mediterraneo is situated in a little village, Stazzo, near the most famous Acireale, on that tract of the oriental coast of Sicily, also known as “Riviera dei Ciclopi”, which extends from the port of Ulisses to the promontory of Taormina, with the big vulcano Etna on the back.

This is the tract of land where, according to the legend, Polifemo threw the “Faraglioni” at Ulisses, who made him blind; where Verga drew his ispiration for his romance “I Malavoglia”; where the Greeks, the Romans, the Arabs, the Normans and the Spanish have left an interesting testimony of their culture.
